Fabrication Welder

Essential Responsibilities: Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for mild steel and stainless steel. Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, wires speed, etc.). Use of cutting and heating torch. Welding equipment maintenance. Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. Follows safety procedures and performs housekeeping duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. One-year experience in various forms of welding including MIG Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read blue prints/engineering drawings is preferred. Ability to set amperage on a MIG welder. Ability to use/read a tape measure. Ability to set wire speed on MIG welder. Ability to adjust gas pressure on MIG welder. Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve. Ability to use heating and cutting torch. Successful completion of an internal welding test. Previous rack experience is highly preferred.
